Hi
there! My name is Sarah and I am the Owner/Groomer of The Grooming
Gallery in Dickinson, ND. I am an avid animals lover and have
experience in training, handling and pampering them all, from
big to small! I attended school at Bismarck State College for
Commercial Arts after graduating High School and also worked
as a brusher and bather at In-Dog-Neat-O in Bismarck while attending
college, which is where I decided I wanted to take my career
to the dogs. I attended the Nevada School of Dog Grooming in
Las Vegas, NV, and am a certified groomer with 360 hours of
training. (click diploma below). As an artist and photographer,
I strive to bring my artistic talents into my grooming as well.
The
Grooming Gallery was opened in 1998...we just celebrated 10
great years in business this year!

Many
time during the business hours of The Grooming Gallery, customers
who call in about scheduling appointments will get an answering
machine. I is deaf and can not talk on the phone to my clients.
There are certain hours when there will be someone in the shop
to take calls, but at times when there is no one else there
the machine is available for clients to leave messages on. Someone
WILL get back to you soon to answer questions and make appointments.
Please be patient and wait for our call back. Thank you for
understanding!
I
am an avid lip-reader and must see people's faces in order to
understand them correctly. Many people have not had experience
talking with a hearing impaired individual. Please understand
that if I do not answer you correctly or even not at all, I
is not being rude or ignorant, but simply have not heard you
correctly. To avoid any misunderstandings, please make sure
you look at me when speaking to me, and to not over-enunciate
or shout...this only makes lip-reading more difficult. If in
doubt, feel free to write down any questions or demands on paper
before coming in...then there will be no doubt that I will understand
you, and I appreciate the effort on your part to make sure things
are clear! :-)
I
am committed to providing the best of care for your pets and
want The Grooming Gallery to be your pet's home away from home.
I will stop at nothing to insure their comfort...and your peace
of mind! Please email or call with any concerns or questions...I
will be happy to answer them for you.
Meet
My Pets!

Bella
Bella
is my big, goofy, talkative merle Great Dane. She is my official
shop "greeter" and insists on sniffing everyone and
everything that comes into the shop.

Wyatt Earp
Wyatt
Earp is my hearing assistance dog. He is a Pembroke Welsh Corgi.
Wyatt is the boss of the house despite his short legs! He goes
everywhere with me and is very obedient, but he can't help but
say hi to everyone he meets with a kiss or a butt wiggle. He
also LOVES to tell off all the other dogs in the shop...it's
the hearding dog in him struggling with the hearing assistance
dog.

Dougie
Dougie
is a ten year old FEMALE cat...her name came about as a mistake,
and when I found out she was a female...the name just stuck!
She is very much a tomboy, always getting into trouble. She
is always looking for attention and bugging people to pet her,
and loves to play with Wyatt. He consider Dougie HIS cat.

Toba
Bird
Toba is a 14 year old Congo African Gray that was given to us
by a family that could no longer keep him. Toby calls himself
"Toba Bird" so that helps keep the cat and the bird apart! Toba
has an amazing vocabulary, he can whistle, sing, mimic many
common sounds like coughing, sneezing, water pouring, dogs barking
(as if we don't have enough of that around here) cats meowing,
chickens clucking....you name it. He is a constant entertainment
and we love watching him. Toba now lives with my parents as they enjoy him so very much and I couldn't resist surprising them with him.

Java
Java
is a Nanday Conure that I got in Spokane. He has a very loud
scream, but is very loving and tame. His vocabulary grows every
day, and so far consists of peekaboo, hello, goodbye, come here,
come on, Kiss Kiss, a wolf whistle or two, and the never ending
"What?"
